Accounting Analyst

Location: Ruther Glen, VA

Pay Rate: $20-$22/HR

Epic Personnel Partners is hiring an Accounting Analyst in Ruther Glen, VA!

The Accounting Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the accounting department by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial processes. This position works closely with the Accounting Analyst Manager and various departments within the Distribution Center to oversee invoice processing, reporting, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses strong analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and distribute daily volume, weekly, and monthly financial reports for the Accounting Analyst Supervisor.
• Ensure proper execution of purchase order procedures across the Distribution Center.
• Perform 3-way match verification for invoice payments to maintain accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
• Manage office supply procurement for the Distribution Center and serve as the primary liaison with vendors.
• Standardize Distribution Center operational reports in alignment with provided guidelines.
• Review and verify staffing agency invoices for accuracy and contract compliance.
• Execute high-volume data entry tasks with precision and speed.
• Process payroll using Paychex software, ensuring compliance and timely submissions.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or economics-related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and communicate across all levels of management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Demonstrated sense of teamwork and accountability.

Preferred:

• Completion of some college-level coursework in Accounting or Economics preferred.
• Familiarity with distribution center operations a plus.
• Experience with Paychex payroll software preferred.
