Position Overview:
This role will serve as the administrative contact for executive leadership on biomedical technology issues. The position leads the Clinical Engineering Department in selecting, procuring, and delivering biomedical equipment and services while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for Joint Commission. It also develops strategies aligned with the organization's strategic plan, sets annual goals, and manages the department's budget. The role collaborates with various departments to improve processes, enhance cybersecurity, and ensure medical device integration. Additionally, it ensures compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with documenting processes, regulatory compliance, and managing the daily hospital operations of a healthcare organization using database systems, dashboards and reports
- 3+ years of experience managing projects with various clinical workflows and medical technology requirements for inpatient, procedural and ambulatory clinical care areas Â
- Extensive knowledge of industry standards, space requirements, best practices and emerging trends for Health Systems Medical Equipment
- Experience in developing strategic medical equipment replacement plans based on life cycle cost analyses
