JOB DESCRIPTION

Clean Harbors Grande Prairie, AB is looking for Class 1 or 3 Drivers /Operators to join their safety conscious team! The successful candidates will be responsible for driving and operating equipment, including but not limited to: Operating Hydro Vacs, Combo Units, Vacuum Trucks, Steamers, and Wet Vacs.

Ideal candidates will have to be LOCAL to Grande Prairie within 1 hour range from the city.

Schedule & Accommodations:

  • Flexible rotations available: 2 weeks on / 1 week off, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, or 3 weeks on / 1 week off.
  • Shifts range from 8 to 12 hours.
  • 24/7 on-call component during scheduled days on.

Travel & Accommodations:

  • Hotel accommodation provided.
  • $50 per diem for travel days.
  • Paid travel, method of transportation, and per diem/accommodations are included for operators.
  • 20% travel required.

Primary service/travel areas: Fort St. John, Grande Prairie, Hinton.

Compensation:

  • Starting wages at $38/hr and up , with overtime paid after 44 hours per week.

Weekly pay – paychecks every Friday .

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Safely drive equipment to and from work sites and operate units while on site;
  • Transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste to a Clean Harbors or 3rd party disposal facility;
  • Maintain and build client relations by providing high levels of customer service;
  • Complete all required paperwork on a daily basis, such as pre/post trip inspection reports and field level risk assessments.
  • Assuring equipment has daily maintenance duties performed and communicates any problems with the unit immediately upon discovery.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Class 1 or 3 Driver's License required;
  • Oilfield experience required;
  • Safety tickets: H2S, CPR, Confined Space Entry required;
  • Ability to operate up to 18 speed manual transmission required;
  • Experience operating equipment such as Combo, Vac, High Pressure, Chemical Unit, Tanker, Hot Oiler, dry ice or core cleaning is an asset;
  • Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment;
  • Ability to lift 50lbs regularly throughout the day.
