Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Data Engineer to join our innovative team. In this crucial role, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our data engineering infrastructure and play a pivotal part in delivering cutting-edge data solutions that drive business success.

*Duration: Direct Hire or Contract-to-Hire

*Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid 3 days per week - Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Key Responsibilities:

*Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, define analytics outcomes, and design data models

*Design and develop a robust Snowflake data warehouse leveraging dbt or other ELT tools to extend our Enterprise Dimensional Model

*Contribute to planning and prioritization discussions

*Architect and break down complex data engineering problems to deliver insights that exceed business needs

*Own and deliver end-to-end solutions, from data ingestion to user-facing data products

*Ensure sustained performance of data engineering pipelines and remediate issues as needed

*Manage source code, documentation, and release planning for data engineering products, embracing DataOps, DevOps, and CI/CD for reliable, scalable, and automated delivery

*Identify and proactively manage risks to the data engineering platform

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 6+ years of experience in enterprise data solutions
• Must have 4+ years of experience with cloud-based data warehousing, strong SQL, Snowflake, Python and DBT/ ETL tools.
• Experience building data pipelines using Python and orchestration tools like Apache Airflow
• Proficiency with data extraction, transformation, and orchestration tools (e.g., Fivetran, dbt, Dataform, Airflow, Prefect, Kafka, Stitch, Matillion)
• Deep understanding of data analysis, data modeling for visualization, and reporting
• Experience with DataOps, git or AzureDevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated experience in one or more business domains (healthcare, marketing, finance, sales, product, customer success, or engineering)
