The Substitute District Interpreter/Translator works with our staff and parents to communicate the needs of the students. The communication is in the form of both oral and written. All candidates need to be proficient both bilingual and biliterate in English/Spanish.

Comments and Other Information SPECIAL INFORMATION: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug test, TB test, fingerprinting and may include a physical exam. The physical and drug screen are paid for by the District. The fingerprint cost is $40.00 and is paid for by the candidate.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill would be:
Experience:
Two years of full-time equivalent paid experience performing interpreting and translating functions.
Education:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by training or course work in
interpretation and translation technology.
