The Role

Well established testing and calibration service organization in Corydon, IN is seeking an Electronic/RF Field Calibration Technician for a full-time position. The candidate will be responsible for providing calibration services in the lab or in the field at the customers' location, as needed. The Electronic Calibration Technician will be responsible for providing in lab and field service calibration services of electronic and mechanical measuring test equipment in the area.

Job Description

The candidate will work both independently and with other technicians on the team. The successful candidate should have at least two (2) years of hands-on mechanical and/or electronic calibration experience. Additionally, the Electronic Calibration Technician will be a self-starter, possess good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) as well as have computer competency.

Candidates must be willing to travel up to 50% to customer sites to calibrate a variety of inspection, measuring and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work with other technicians within the lab to provide calibration services, which can include measurement, temperature, torque, pressure, etc.
• Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
• Maintain calibration standards
• Working knowledge and competency in mechanical, physical dimensional and/or electronic calibrations with instruments / tools such as:
  • AC/DC Low Voltage (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, voltage calibrators etc.)
    • RF Frequency measuring and Generating Devices (spectrum analyzers, frequency generators, FR counters)
    • Temperature & Humidity devices (data loggers, hygrometer, environmental chambers, ovens)
    • High Voltage Generating and Measuring equipment (Hipot tester, Meggers, Insulation testers)
• Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or at a customer on-site
• Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
• Other duties as assigned
• Travel requirement: 25-50% of work schedule

Qualifications

Education And Experience

• High School graduate / or equivalent required
• Associates degree from college or technical school preferred.; or at least one (2) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 - 5+ years' experience electronic equipment calibration; Candidates with experience using electronic measurement equipment will also be considered.
• Commercial or Military experience acceptable
• Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics
• Familiarity with basic hand tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work 40 plus hours per week to meet customer demands including overtime work when needed
• Candidate shall be able to lift 60 pounds
• Candidate shall have a clean driving record, background check, and drug screen

Preferred

• Experience in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS, or Avionics desired
