Our client, a top law firm, in downtown Chicago is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of their firm. This role combines strategic financial planning with day-to-day management of the firm's financial activities, requiring both technical expertise and leadership skills. Our client strives to foster a professional, collaborative atmosphere in their modern office in downtown Chicago. This role is budgeted up to $140,000 plus competitive year-end bonus based on individual and firm performance. The schedule is hybrid, with 3 days per week onsite. Finance Manager Responsibilities: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the firm's goals Manage the firm's budget and forecasting processes Oversee financial reporting and analysis for partners and management Monitor key performance indicators and prepare management reports Lead the annual budgeting and planning process Oversee billing processes, including time entry review and client invoicing Monitor and analyze billable hours, utilization rates and realization Evaluate profitability by practice area, partner and client Assist in pricing strategies for alternative fee arrangements Manage a team of finance and billing professionals Provide mentorship and guidance to finance staff Collaborate with partners and practice group leaders on financial matters Serve as liaison between finance department and firm management Finance Manager Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA preferred 7+ years of financial management experience Professional or financial service industry experience required Experience with financial management systems If you are a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional ready to make an impact, we would love to hear from you!
