Job Description
Seeking a private chef to cook for a family and summer guests on the world famous Kenai River between May 15th and September 30, 2025. You'll be surrounded by wildlife and spectacular river and snowcapped mountain views and work in a brand new, spacious custom kitchen and dining facility. This secluded 7-acre property boasts seven luxurious guest cabins, indoor pickleball court, standalone happy hour/event space, fully appointed gym, greenhouse, riverbank salmon fishing, infrared sauna, and a large fire pit for campfires and outdoor cooking.
You'll design weekly meal plans, shop, and prepare local, seasonal Alaskan-inspired cuisine for 10-25 guests including “grab and go” continental breakfast, happy hour charcuterie and buffet style dinner and dessert. Not required but welcomed are any skills that add to our guests' on-site experience including cooking demonstrations/classes and outdoor/campfire cooking.
Requirements include at least two years’ proven culinary experience with a variety of cuisines, experience incorporating seasonal Alaskan ingredients, and the ability to adjust menus for guests with special dietary needs.
The candidate will have excellent budget and time management skills and run a clean, safe kitchen. This is a full-time position, average of 40 hrs/week over the course of the season, $25-$35/hr payable weekly and includes housing in a fully furnished private or shared two-bedroom cabin, utilities, laundry, great Internet and use of a vehicle as part of compensation package. Fish, hike, kayak and explore Alaska's Kenai Peninsula in your off hours!
