Job Description We are currently hiring a Technical Writer in Cincinnati, Ohio
The Technical Writer is responsible for both documenting new and updating current standard operating procedures. The primary scope of their role is document creation and review, as well as following all Boston Beer document management processes and procedures.
What you'll Brew
•Create/update standard operating procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), One Point Lessons (OPLs), Training Step Up Cards (SUCs), and lock-out tag-out documents (LOTOs)
•Work with operators, supervisors, and technicians to observe operating procedures in person to create/update specified documents above
•Be available to work off-shift as necessary to observe and document specific tasks
•Coordinate scheduled meetings with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to observe and verify
procedures
•Route drafted documents through the specified/required quality team workflow
•Record and maintain scope and progress of work on the document request tracker
•Follow the brewery process for approval and review of all created documents
•Follow brewery document management policies and procedures
•Maintain confidentiality regarding our brewing and blending processes
•Develop and execute a review process annually for all documents
•Manage communication flow of changes in documentation to management and employees
Level: 6 In accordance with pay transparency laws the salary range for this role if hired is $61,100 - $100,000 annually based on location and the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Certain sales positions are also eligible for car allowance.

Physical Requirements
•Willingness to wear PPE
•May be required to periodically lift and/or move objects/boxes up to 50lbs

•Ability to sit in front of a computer, tablet, etc. for an extended period of time
•Bending, twisting and reaching
•Production-Specific
•Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend under conveyors and step over conveyors in a production environment for extended periods
Working Conditions
•There is frequent exposure production environments, such as:
•Subject to loud and constant noise
•Non-environmentally conditioned spaces which may lead to extreme hot and cold
•Operating environment is complex and densely populated with production equipment and forklifts that necessitates high situational awareness
