\n\nTravel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
\n\nOpportunity:
\nRadiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
\n• Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
\n• Provide patient care for all age groups from newborns through geriatrics
\n• Position patients properly for accurate delivery of radiation treatment using immobilization devices
\n• Perform daily warm-up of treatment machines and enter information in logbooks
\n• Conduct simulator checks and report any operational problems
\n• Produce acceptable radiographs for simulation procedures
\n• Maintain audio and visual contact with patients at all times during treatment
\n• Schedule patients for daily treatment and ensure treatment marks are maintained
\n• Perform portal localization films weekly or as prescribed
\n• Conduct weekly chart checks to ensure prescriptions are being followed
\n• Help ease patient fears and explain treatment expectations and potential adverse reactions
\n• Transport hospital patients to department and assist as necessary
\n• Keep treatment and simulation rooms neat, orderly, and stocked with supplies
\n• Must have ARRT certification required
\n• BLS certification through American Heart Association required
\n• Experience using Elekta equipment required
\n• Must possess good interpersonal communication skills
\n• Attend all required hospital and departmental inservice programs
\n• $1,000 completion bonus paid upon successful completion of full assignment term
